I have my team together but we need one more runner!
A great resource is our Ragnar Relay UK Facebook Fan Page. Within the fan page, each race is listed under the “events” section. Click on the race you're interested in and reach out and communicate with runners on the Facebook page.

One of my runners dropped out! What are my options?
So glad that you asked! We are sorry that one or more of your runners dropped out. We know that makes being a team captain even more stressful than it usually is. That’s why you’re our heroes!
You have three basic options:
- Run all the legs anyway! This is definitely the best option for more hardcore Ragnarians that want to finish the race at any cost. This basically just involves your remaining team members picking up the load that is left by your missing runner(s). Those three legs that they were responsible for can be run by any of the remaining runners in any order as long as those legs are run in their entirety without being divided.
- Ghost Run! This is the second coolest option and is better suited to Ragnarians that want to get the most out of the epic journey without worrying about taking on an extra load. This option involves having a “ghost runner” run the legs that should have been run by your missing runner(s). When your team reaches a leg that belongs to your missing runner, you would skip that leg and wait at the following exchange until a “ghost runner” that runs at your team’s average pace would be finished. At that point, your next runner can start running his/her leg! Teams that decide to ghost run do not qualify to win awards in their division because they did not physically run the whole race. Teams wishing to ghost run should notify race headquarters before beginning in order to receive more specific instructions
- Lastly, you have the option to defer the team registration to the following year’s event. The deferral policy can be found in the Race Bible with some additional details. Please note, however, that there is a deferral fee attached to this option, which can also be found in the Race Bible, as well as the Terms and Conditions of the race.
