REFUNDS, TRANSFERS AND SCHEDULING
Q: Which events have been canceled?
A: All 2020 in-person events have unfortunately been canceled. We’ll start fresh next year when it is safe to give high fives again.
Q: Why is Ragnar not offering a refund?
A: Organizing events the size of Ragnar relays and preparing the best possible experience for every runner requires many of our expenditures to be made months in advance on equipment, supplies, permits, marketing, staffing, etc. Unfortunately, these are unrecoverable expenses. While we are unable to issue any refunds, we are offering team transfer credits. We’ve worked hard to find ways to make sure you get a Ragnar experience in the near future, even in this challenging and rapidly evolving situation.
Q: If I transfer to a race that costs more, do I pay the difference?
A: Nope! Your registration code for 2021 is for 100% off, regardless of the format of the event.
Q: If I transfer to a race that costs less, am I refunded the difference?
A: No, unfortunately. Because of our no refunds policy, we are unable to refund the difference. However, your registration code for 2021 is automatically created for 100% off and applies to all events. If you would like to transfer from a road race to a sunset, a trail to a sunset, etc, please reach out and we’ll get you set up with the appropriate number of codes so your entire team may participate in 2021. Our email address is customerservice@runragnar.com.
Q: I already submitted the form to defer to the same race next year. Do I need to do anything?
A: Yes! If you are the team captain, you should have recently received an email with a code to register for 2021. Unfortunately our liability waivers are year specific, so we need everyone to sign up again. Sorry for the hassle!
Q: I have already submitted the form, but I changed my mind about which event to run.
A: No worries! Your code is valid at any event and just needs to be entered at check out at the time of registration.
Q: The 2021 event I want to run is not open for registration yet.
A: We are still putting the finishing touches on a few events before we officially open registration, but your code will be valid through 2022.
Q: I already submitted the form with my new race selection, but my Team Center still shows my original event. Why isn't my new event showing?
A: Deleting a year's worth of events may be just as hard as planning them! But we are working on getting it updated so your Team Center is correct. You can expect your Team Center to continue to reflect the 2020 schedule for the time being.
VIRTUAL EVENTS
Q: Will my race have a virtual event?
A: All races that were canceled will have a virtual event on the race weekend. These virtual events are free to teams who had previously registered for that race. We may access all of the 2020 virtual events here: https://run.ragnarrelay.com/lp/virtualchallenges/
Q: My race was canceled, but my team is participating in the virtual event. Will we still get our shirts and medals?
A: No, shirts and medals are not available for your canceled event. However, we will have some awesome gear available for purchase during virtual events.
MISCELLANEOUS
Q: Do we get connector medals for completing multiple events?
A: No, unfortunately. But we hope that our virtual events are encouraging physical activity and community support during this crazy time!
Q: What is the correct spelling of canceled/cancelled?
A: Both are correct. Americans prefer canceled with one ‘L’ while our friends at Forest of Dean prefer cancelled with two ‘L’s.
Q: Do I have to keep the same runners next year? What if part of my team can’t run next year?
A: The registration code for a future event will go to the captain, not the team as a whole. The captain will then register a new team for their preferred event. At that time, they may invite an entirely new roster of runners, keep the exact same roster, or any combination in between. It is easiest to think of the registration in terms of a completely new event, the only difference is that the registration is already paid.
Q: My question is not listed above.
A: Please email us at customerservice@runragnar.com. To ensure the safety of our team, we are working remotely during this time and have limited access to our office phone.
